Does dealing with a bipolar person make you feel crazy (I need help please)??!?

Ugh this is basically a rant, but I need someone to talk to about bipolar itself.

So basically, I had an ex boyfriend back in February who I dated because I thought he was fantastically smart and talented, but we broke up because he was trying to force be to become a Christian and he said "if you say you believe in God then you will believe" and I’m like "No, belief comes through faith, not some stupid chant" Well we broke up over that. And I was glad we were over because he was being really weird about it. (I am Agnostic by the way)

During the summer, I still had him as a friend on Facebook and I statused something saying that I loved Lady Gaga, so then he posted something on my status saying she wasn’t even real music and that she autotunes her voice over x2000 times and he was just being really disrespectful to my friends and making himself look like a douche.

Well just a few weeks ago he facebooked me saying he was sorry and I forgave him. So then he was acting perfectly sane and all and we talked about a few personal things over the phone, like he asked what my biggest fear was and I said "to be alone"..and he told me that when we were dating he was addicted to porn, (he says hes a Christian) and then I told him I liked him one day, and he seemed really happy about it, so then one day he starts writing me poetry and being really sweet too me and coming off REALLY strong. And he’s really starting to creep me out. He always insists on seeing me on Skype (he always wants to see my "beautiful face") <– im quoting him. And I met him up at church one time because I talked to him about becoming a serious Christian next year. Well we were about to go into service but someone started talking to him and we ended up missing service because random people kept walking up to him and just TALKING, so I was really mad because i didn’t learn a thing when I went to church, I felt like crying.. and I was so mad at him..

He also is 18 and I am 15, and he’s been trying to pursue me lately, (I’ve known him at church since he was 16) and i never brought up the topic that we would never be able to date.

Well he skyped me one day and he was asking what was wrong, and I just told him I didn’t feel the same way he did, and then he got really mad and started telling my best friend that I was a dumb heartbreaker and that I completely led him on and he was posting facebook updates saying "I guess i’m nobody special" and after he kept ranting and ranting to my best friend i was completely done and I went off on him on Skype, and he got really mad and then he was telling my best friend that I’m just trying to make him break.. he was acting insane at this point and telling me he was going to kill himself.. and i skyped him and I told him to listen. I told him that if he wants to talk to me then he is going to calm down and stop acting like a drama queen. and then he went offline again (he did this in the middle of our conversations) and i went off on him on facebook because he was online, and then he yelled at me saying Bipolar was part of the package and that i wasn’t going to break him, and i’m like ifne whatever, bye. have fun being bipolar, your always going to be alone. and then i deleted him off of skype and facebook.

after all this i feel like i’ve been tested myself, he acted like a complete jerk, but why do i feel bad about this too? it seems to me he just wanted me to make me feel sorry for him but i am honestly just REALLY mad at him right now. i need help i feel like im about to go insane myself from being tested by him. >.<

I hear you and feel for you. There are medications for Bipolar or Manic Depression. If a person chooses not to take it, they are totally unpredictable. Just tell the guy he’s not your type and move on. Don’t be cruel or lead him on, just say you can’t handle the chaos and need your peace. Bipolars are high in either a positive overly religious way or a negative tempermental nasty way. Then their hormones switch and they become totally depressed, sorry for the mess they made and potentially suicidal. You do not want to get involved with this high-low behavior so tell him kindly that unless he gets on some medication for his bipolar, it is impossible to even be friends. If he does get on meds, however, and stays on for a couple of weeks, you might be willing to try friendship at that time. But until then, no. Hope this helps.

By the way, your relationship with God and your church attendance is your personal commitment and should never depend on another person. Go for it, I did and it made me a better person!

Know this about prayer, it is a three step process. God likes the number three.
1. We pray or ask God for help/something. In Jesus’ name.
2. God prepares us to handle this so once we get it we will not fail with it. So God teaches us how to handle what we ask for. God is good, so he prepares us and then gives it. How great is that?
3. God gives us what we asked for.
Many ask and while #2 is happening they give up. So they do not get to #3.
So try praying again, now that you know how it works. And the more you ask for, the longer it usually takes to prepare you for it.

Only God can reveal the meaning of his word, the bible. So if we want to know the truth we must ask God to show us meanings and give us understanding or we just guess. Before we start reading the bible ask God for knowledge and understanding, then we can know and understand it as God gives it to us. The bible is Martian to us, so read it this way. God has to help us understand or we can not understand much of it.
If I wanted to know something written is Martian, I would go to someone that speaks Martian and ask them what it means so that I may understand what it says. Or I could look at it, not understanding, then say it means this or that: not knowing Martian, I could try to make it mean whatever i wanted, though this would not be the right interpretation.
Many do this with the bible, it is God’s word and only God can tell us the meaning of things and give us understanding too. Or we just guess or make something up. So go to God and ask him directly for the truth of his word. And God can do this through any bible, not just some but all.

For a small fee, a nascent crop of companies wants to help you find out by running background checks on the potential flames you encounter on Match.com, eHarmony or any of the nation’s nearly 1,500 dating Web sites.

At the same time, at least two states, New York and New Jersey, have begun regulating Internet dating sites, and legal experts say they believe changes to the liability laws that protect such sites are on the horizon.

And you thought your mother was the only one who wanted to vet your love life.

The focus on background screenings comes as some 20 million Americans are using dating sites, more than double the number five years ago, according to the market research firm IBISWorld. While they are finding casual dates and even love, they are also encountering married people pretending to be single or, worse, sexual predators and convicted felons.

No one has put a number on how much violence stems from dating sites, according to groups that keep track of rape and other violent crimes, like the Department of Justice’s Bureau of Justice Statistics and the National Center for Victims of Crime.

Yet plenty of crime stories begin with two people skimming each other’s online dating profiles. Consider the widely reported case of Jeffrey Marsalis, a serial rapist in Philadelphia who met his victims on Match.com.

Such perils have been around since the dawn of the Internet, an ideal medium for complex cover-ups. But now that online dating is a billion-dollar industry, state officials, public safety advocates and enterprising businesses are calling for further safeguards.

Whether it is possible, however, to effectively screen people and make sites more truthful is unclear. After all, members are not always honest about their age and weight.

“What we want to do is provide some degree of safety,” said Robert Buchholz, a retired New York State Police captain who, with Andrew J. Scott, a former police chief in Boca Raton, Fla., founded MyMatchChecker.com, a Web site that went live in April, enabling people to request background checks on anyone they have met on a dating site.

Mr. Buchholz and Mr. Scott, who each have more than 30 years of law enforcement experience, said that having daughters inspired them to try to make online dating safer. Their company offers a basic background search for $9.95.

In addition to Web sites, a flurry of mobile phone apps aim to make background checks as quick and easy as ordering a pizza: Just plug in a couple of facts like a name and birth date. ValiMate, the creator of the Instant National Criminal Search app, even allows users to send the results of the check to a friend for added safety.
